Friday, April 14th
What we did in class today: We did some review exercises.
What to do if you missed class today: Make sure you are aware of the homework that is due – see HOMEWORK link. There is nothing to make up for today. We had a technology issue which caused the lesson for the day to be canceled.
Thursday, April 13th
What we did in class today: We graded our class notebooks and took notes on a TED talk.
If you missed class today: Bring Mr. Jamsa your notebook for grading. Divide a sheet of paper in half. One the left side write PROBLEMS and on the right side write SOLUTIONS. Fill in the table as best as you can while you watch the video below:
Wednesday, April 12th
What we did in class today: We took the state required 8th grade science standardized test in the computer lab.
If you missed class today: You will have to do the test on Thursday during science or when you return.
Tuesday, April 11th
What we did in class today: We took some notes and did some activities trying to describe the Law of Thermodynamics – the fact that as energy changes form, some of it turns to thermal energy and floats into space unable to do any useful work after that.
If you missed class today: Copy the light bulb page from a classmate and show Mr. Jamsa. You will need that information for the test!
Monday, April 10th
What we did in class today: We finished our reading of Dr. Art, Chapter 8, Energy on Earth.
If you missed class today: You can listen to the chapter on line by clicking on Dr. Art Audio on this web page. The questions you need to answer are listed below. This will work for most of the questions. The ones where you need to copy a diagram or picture, you cannot do that from the audio file. When you have the completed study guide, please show Mr. Jamsa.
