There is no new homework this week because of science fair. If you have not completed both the food assignment #1 and the TED talk on “What’s Wrong with the Food we Eat” you can still complete those assignments and turn them in for partial credit. They are listed under the HOMEWORK LINK.

Wednesday, February 28 / Friday, March 3 (note: We were on a field trip March 2nd)
What we did in class today: We did two lessons over these two days, depending on when you have science class. 1) We did a Spanish lecture and activity introducing the concept of the effects of having two parents. The other day we reviewed how to predict future offspring phenotypes and genotypes using Punnett Squares.
If you missed class either or both days: See Mr. Jamsa after school for five minutes and you can make up the productivity points and he can summarize the key learning to help with future learning about genetics.
Tuesday, February 27th
What we did in class today: We introduced the concept of cells before we begin our unit on evolution.
If you missed class today: Copy the notes of a classmate and show Mr. Jamsa.
Monday, February 26th – early release day
What we did in class today: We watched more (or started) the film FOLKS OVER KNIVES.
If you missed class today: We made a three column table. Column one states “BENEFITS OF VEGGIES.” Column two states “PROBLEMS WITH MEAT.” Column three states “WAYS THEY MAKE THEIR CASE.” Watch 30 minutes of the film FORKS OVER KNIVES available instantly on Netflix and fill out the three column table with information based on the heading.
