Science Fair T-Forms – choosing your own topic – are due in 19 days – that’s the Wednesday before Spring Break. Don’t wait!
Thursday, Friday November 3rd, 4th
Objective: With my team, we will complete a rough draft of our art project to share with Mr. Jamsa to help guide us as we work towards completing our project.
What we did today: 1) We did a check in with our cycle doing a crossword puzzle (both days) 2) We worked on our projects alone or in groups.
If you missed either or both days: The projects are due after school on Monday. Do not count on more class time to work on them. Check in with your groups as far as what you missed or continue working on your project. The more you can check in with Mr. Jamsa, the more he can guide you with it. His e-mail is email@example.com
Wednesday, November 2nd
Objective: With my team, we will complete the cycle art project research and start brainstorming our presentation.
What we did in class today: I did a quick quiz to see if students are understanding the concepts of cycles, matter, physical and chemical change, and phase change. Then we continued researching answers for our cycle projects.
If you missed today: If it is just today, then you can check in with your team tomorrow and hopefully they can help you with the information you missed. If you have been gone for a few days, you will need to check in with me during AG as soon as possible.
Tuesday, November 1st
Objective: With my team, in the SNB we will complete the phase change graphic organizer and the research questions for our chosen cycle.
What we did in class today: We watched a Bill Nye video on phase change and completed a graphic organizer on useful phase change vocabulary. We then distributed and began to answer research questions to help support our cycle art project.
If you missed today: You will need to copy the research notes from a team member and ask them or Mr. Jamsa for help in understanding their meaning. If you don’t have the information, you won’t be able to assist with the final assessment.
Monday, October 31st
Objective:With my team, we will demonstrate our knowledge of cycles and matter with a haiku and a bumper sticker.
What we did today: 1) We answered questions about cycles and did a haiku and bumper sticker for cycles and matter to demonstrate our knowledge. 2) We broke into teams for the Matter Cycles Art Project, either a dance or a story book.
If you missed today: 1) Copy the questions and answers from a team mate on the information about cycles. 2) Make your own Haiku and Bumper Sticker to show Mr. Jamsa for credit. 3) You will have to decide on an art project and a team when you return – the project will be explained at that time.
